Founder and Former President Cherri Pitts launched UXSA in January 2020. She started with the vision of a supportive community for learning about UX.
We’re excited to continue the next stage of the UXSA mission. Gema Saunders and Adrienne Palmer are the new co-presidents of UXSA.
Gemma Saunders
Since 2022, UX Researcher Gemma’s filled essential support needs. On the way, she’s become familiar with the activities and value that UXSA provides.
Gemma emigrated from the U.K. to the U.S. in 2014. She does research and project management at Firecat Studio. She recently completed training to become a Certified Usability Analyst and earned her third degree.
As a mother of five, she’s mastered management, organization, and task tracking. All this helps her keep the organizations she serves moving forward and running smoothly. On election day in San Antonio, you’ll find her serving as a Bexar County Election Judge.
Adrienne Palmer
Senior UX Designer Adrienne joined in the summer of 2020 to fill our need for a committed team designer. She’s done our current logo and swag. She’s facilitated workshops and supported speakers in countless events online. She’s shown up and supported the mission.
Adrienne’s been designing better digital experiences for about 20 years now. As a consultant, Adrienne has introduced design-thinking practices across several industries.
Most recently, she’s helped large organizations apply human-centered design strategy. She’s facilitated sprint workshops, and helped improve design operations.

With Cherri’s leadership, we never missed an opportunity to support the many who lost their jobs. We provided development opportunities and fresh perspectives during pandemic-driven changes. Hundreds of community participants got connected, grew their career and made friends. We can’t thank her enough.
